Never heard of them prior, but I was in need of some new cutlery and they had some solid discounts, so I decided to give it a shot and placed my order. The cutlery showed up the very next day through DPD, which is always a plus since they provide a time window. I can't complain at all; the quality is top-notch.

On Saturday, I picked up a boxed set of 10 table knives, forks, spoons, and teaspoons at Heals for half price during the sale. I then hopped onto their website to grab some extra items like side knives, forks, and soup spoons. I noticed there were two different styles of soup spoons, but only one picture of each was available online, making it tough to see what the difference was. I signed up for their newsletter, hoping to catch any deals that might pop up.

I placed an order for 10 side knives and forks, plus 4 of each type of soup spoon, planning to finalize my set once I figured out what I really wanted.

On Sunday, I received an email with a 10% discount offer for anything on the site. I shot them an email to see if that discount could be applied to my previous order.

By Monday, I got a response saying the 10% off couldn’t be applied since the cutlery was already on sale. Fair enough, but they could’ve made that clearer from the start.

Then on Thursday, my parcel arrived. However, it only contained the soup spoons I ordered. The packing slip had a handwritten note crossing out one set of spoons, but the invoice showed both sets were supposed to be included. I emailed them to report the missing items and requested a refund (and I’ve given up on completing the full set I wanted).

After 6 working days, still no reply and no refund. Pretty disappointing.

UPDATE - I finally got an email from Charingworth, and it seems some messages got lost along the way. Appreciate them reaching out and getting things sorted.

We’re really happy with this cutlery and super pleased to have added some soup spoons, small knives, forks, and pastry forks to the knives, forks, and spoons we picked up last Christmas. It feels just right in the hand and looks fantastic on the table. It’s a little quirky, but honestly, I think it’s awesome.
